Altadena Artists RoundTable (AART)

Sponsored by The Arts Council, it provides artists with a forum for informal discussion of issues of mutual interest, demonstrations of the intricacies of their creative processes, business management information and networking opportunities.

 

Altadena ARTBreak 3K Run/Walk For the Arts
A fun fundraising 3K run/walk event for both raising the awareness of the importance of the arts in our community and for raising funds($s) to support Arts Council programs and services.

 

ARTS Educator of Excellence Awards Program

An award that is especially created to recognize area arts educators whose work has contributed substantially to promotion of arts education and the growth and development the area's talented youth.  

 

Arts Education

The Altadena Arts Council has a strong commitment to arts education in the broadest context.  That is, not only as it involves children and youth, but the wider community as well. has a strong background in arts-in-education initiatives.

 

Teachers and school administrators interested in bringing art activities and residencies to their school are invited to contact the Arts Council.  

 

ARTBreak

ARTBreak has been developed as a community event to highlight and celebrate the talent and creativity of our area's children and youth. The event brings together numerous workshops, fine arts projects and exhibits, demonstrations, and hands-on projects to involve young people and their families.



Fiscal Intermediary

The Altadena Arts Council provides fiscal sponsorship assistance to arts groups who are not currently ready to become a nonprofit.  This temporary measure enables them to manage their financial affairs in a manner that meets professional requirements. Fiscal Sponsorship provides these organizations with the ability to receive donations for which donors are able to claim tax deductions.  Click here to download an Application for Fiscal Sponsorship. 

 

Friend of the Arts Award Program
TAAC's award, created in honor internationally reknowned Altadena artist Charles White and his wife, Frances, recognizes individuals, organizations and businesses who, either as artists, community volunteers, sponsors, donors or venues have made substantial contributions to Altadena's arts and culture. 

 


KidsPix Altadena 

Held in conjunction with ARTBreak, the event encourages young people, armed with a digital camera, to snap up their own unique, artistic view of Altadena (as only kids can).  Photos are reviewed by a panel of judges and prizes are awarded.  

 

Workshops, Exhibits and Events
