Meet TAAC's New Executive Director!
Hello, I'm Mary Ann Stevenson, The Altadena Arts Council's Executive Director.

Thanks for visiting our new web site. Now that we are operational, we are looking forward not only to providing you with information regarding our organization, but also to keeping you informed of arts and culture happenings and opportunities here in Altadena and the wider community.
Here's a little bit about me. I have been a resident of Altadena since 1969. I am a graduate of California State University, L.A. (BA - Theater) and Loyola Marymount (MA - Film and Television). I have been involved in the arts for a considerable number of years, both as co-founder The Altadena Arts Council and co-founder of TOBA West Theatre in Pasadena. TOBA was an award-winning equity-waiver theatre that operated for ten years in Pasadena. I also served on the staff of Pasadena's ground-breaking Bi-Centennial Performing Arts Program (BPAP) and the City's KPAS (Channel 56).
We are planning a number of great projects, including the "ARTBreak 2010 Community Cultural Festival", which will be jointly sposored with L.A. County Department of Parks and Recreation. We will also have our first annual "Altadena Runs for the Arts" coming up in early 2010. Have you ever wondered how sculptors create their beautiful work? If so, "It's A Hard Rock Life: Demystifying How Sculptors Create Their Work" will answer all your questions. These are just a few of TAAC's projects, with more to come.
